Since moving to Spain, the author’s life has been turned upside down. Snilsya even though being far from a writer, takes us on poetic a journey of her many, often dangerous, solo-trips across the new homeland. All the collected stories, thoughts and feelings from this particular period has been included in both languages, Spanish and English, as a symbolic gesture of appreciation.
In Greek and Roman times, Hesperia meant “western land” or “land of the setting sun.” The Greeks first used it for Italy, but as knowledge grew, the Romans applied Hesperia Ultima—“the farthest west land”—to Spain.
